ALPHA SERIES
Alpha series is the new AEB Robotics Cartesian motion control system. It is possible to make both linear and circular interpolations in the 3D work space.
The 3D handling sequences supported are both the point-to-point and continuous path types, where the speed profiles and trajectories can be set in combination with delays, expected input signals and output activations.
The programming software, entirely developed by AEB Robotics, represents an important evolution compared to similar systems on the market. The work profiles can be created on a PC starting directly from the CAD drawings of the part to be machined.
Adjustments can be made using an extremely intuitive 3D graphic editor or, after the program has been transferred onto the central unit of the system, directly on board the machine via PC or dedicated control panel. The final handling sequences generated in this way can now be saved on the central unit of the workstation, up to 255 combinations at the most, and be called up by the operator without further interventions being necessary. In the case it is necessary to use more than 255 programs, it is sufficient to transfer the new work profiles from the PC to the workstation. All data on the workstation will be automatically and safely filed on the PC for subsequent necessities.
The work profiles contain not only information about positioning and speed, but also the status of the inputs and outputs to which the tools are connected. This is why it is possible to use the same software, for example to modify and program the dispensing parameters of the profile point by point. In this way the production processes can move toward the goal of maximum repeatability with extreme simplicity. Total software and firmware updatability via web.
The CU4 CPU is equipped with on-board flash memory for managing up to 100,000 working points, organisable into 255 programs. Standard CiA DSP402 CANOpen and RS232 connectivity supports are present. Pre-arrangement for RS485 is available.
The SD05 driver for bipolar stepper motors supports incremental encoder management.
The Alpha system is completed with the digital IO-16/16 input/output card, totally controlled via PC software, and via Alpha CP control panel (optional) for allowing the operator to manage the robot, without using a PC.
